The 49th National Organic Chemistry Symposium (NOS) will be held from Sunday June 22 to Thursday June 26, 2025 at RPI in Troy, New York. This page provides details to help individuals make their travel arrangements.
The tentative schedule for the symposium includes: registration is slated to open at 3 PM on Sunday June 22nd, 2025 and Poster sessions will be held every evening, June 22-25, 2025 (8-11 PM). The symposium scheduled to end by 1:00 PM on Thursday June 26th.
Registration is currently slated to open by the end of February 2025
Visa Information for NOS 2025
Some international participants will require a visa prior to arriving in this country. Please check the website of the US State Department for detailed information.
If your entry to the U.S. requires a visa, you are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.
If you need a formal letter of invitation from the meeting organizers as part of the visa application, please contact us. If you are requesting a letter of invitation, be sure to include your name, address, and poster title.
Air Travel
The closest airport to RPI’s campus is the Albany International Airport. Albany International, is an international airport located 10 miles west of Troy.
Ground Transportation
Transportation to/from the Albany International Airport is available from the Capital District Transit Authority (CDTA). CDTA offers free rides to students with a student ID. Visit the CDTA website to find all schedules and routes. The CDTA website also has a convenient Trip Planner that can assist you in determining bus routes around the Capital District.
The Capital District is served by Uber and Lyft. Please note, Uber is not permitted to pick up at Albany International Airport.
Taxi services to and from the Albany International Airport are available. The approximate fare one way from the RPI Campus is $25-40, but some variations may occur due to wait time, traffic, etc. Phone numbers for a couple area taxi services are:
